If you're running a limited company, a dedicated business account is a legal obligation — your business is a separate legal entity. If you're a sole trader, it's not legally required but strongly recommended to keep your finances separate for tax purposes.

Yes. We offer business accounts for companies with multiple directors. After you open your ANNA account, let us know in the chat and we'll set up access for the other directors. They'll be able to use the ANNA app on the same account with limited access as additional cardholders.
When you provide all the required documents during app setup, it usually takes about 3–5 minutes to open an ANNA business account. We may need more time if your documents need extra attention – for example when an ID photo is blurry or utility bills don't match the address you gave us.
You can apply for an ANNA account from outside Australia – but only Australian residents are eligible to open one. You'll also need your App Store or Play Store set to Australia to download the app.
You can. Once set up, type in 'Add Cardholder' in the app and follow the prompts to add an additional cardholder.
No, we don't do credit checks. Instead we carry out an identity check to comply with Australian anti-money laundering regulations. Traditional banks use a more complex credit check to vet future customers. ANNA isn't a bank and this isn't a credit card, which means our identity checking process is quicker, easier and won't affect your credit score.
Even though ANNA Money is not a bank, your available balance is held securely and in trust for you by Hay Limited in a segregated customer funds account at an Australian ADI (bank). This means your money is not co-mingled with operational funds and is safeguarded under a segregated trust structure designed to protect client monies.However, there are risks (as set out in section 9 of our PDS):• You may lose funds if unauthorised or mistaken transactions occur and are not promptly reported;• Transaction networks or systems may become temporarily unavailable;• Your account does not earn interest; and• If Hay Limited (the issuer) fails, your available balance may not be recoverable and is not protected under the FCS.
ANNA Money Pty Ltd is an Australian entity and an APP entity under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect and store personal and company information, including identification (ID) documents and ASIC-related data, within our secure CRM system. Our cloud server is stored locally in Australia. IT support based in the UK and part of the ANNA group may run periodical maintenance on our local systems, but personnel have restricted access and are bound by the same rules around handling personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

ANNA Money is a fintech that provides a business account and business tools (like an admin tool with payments capability). We aren't a bank, or an ADI, and therefore we cannot issue or offer a bank guarantee or act as guarantor for any of our customers.
As neither ANNA Money Pty Ltd nor Hay Limited is an ADI, the ANNA Money Business Account is not covered by the Australian Government's Financial Claims Scheme (FCS). The FCS provides protection for depositors of authorised banks, credit unions, and building societies only — entities holding an ADI licence under the Banking Act 1959 (Cth). The FCS does not apply to non-ADI or non-bank fintech providers.
ANNA Money Pty Ltd is a non-bank financial technology (fintech) provider and is not an ADI. We distribute the ANNA Money Business Account under a Corporate Authorised Representative (CAR) arrangement with Hay Limited (trading as Shaype), who holds an AFSL. Hay Limited is the issuer of the ANNA Money Business Account. All financial services and product issuance are provided under Hay's licence. ANNA Money's role is to distribute and support the account, but we do not hold customer funds directly.
