EOFY Preparation

While ANNA Money doesn’t currently support financial statement preparation or income tax return preparation, you can request a Bookkeeping Statement via chat once the financial year ends and share it with your external accountant. We recommend quickly reviewing your transaction categories and GST treatment first to ensure everything is up to date.

The statement records your key bookkeeping data in one place, including transaction details, GST, notes, and evidence links.

We’ve also created a simple EOFY guide to help you stay organised and tax-ready: EOFY Survival Guide for Australian Small Businesses

Start Slowly? Lodge as RNN (Return Not Necessary)

An RNN applies when a tax return is not required for a financial year, typically where you have not started operating your business (i.e. no income or expenses). We can help you lodge an RNN for your company. Just drop a message in the chat and our tax expert will contact you shortly.

Federal Budget Update

Last month, we shared the Government's official Federal Budget announcements. This month, we're helping explain and interpret some of the key proposals for small business owners and property investors.

From permanent instant asset write-offs and new loss relief measures for businesses, to proposed changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax, there are several reforms worth keeping an eye on. We've broken down the key measures and what they could mean in practice in our latest blog articles.

Product Update: AI is now built into your Bookkeeping Score

AI is now built into your Bookkeeping Score, helping keep your books accurate and up to date. The model constantly reviews transactions, suggests expense categories, and flags items that may need attention. By learning from your bookkeeping decisions over time, it improves its recommendations, reducing manual admin and helping businesses maintain cleaner records, stay compliant, and uncover potential tax savings.
